However, because of its regional status as a regional growth centre and gateway to the North West, its daily population expands to over 42,000. Sligo town is situated on the Garavogue River and is a thriving tourist, commercial and administrative regional centre. Tramore Tramore is a charming seaside town in Waterford County, Ireland. This historic town is known for its Gothic Revival Catholic Church, as well as the many other megalithic structures in the area that predate Christianity.
