Bergen boasts numerous historic buildings dating from medieval times: Bergenhus Fortress; Rosenkrantz Tower; Haakon’s Hall. Oslo Oslo, Norway’s capital and largest city, is encircled by wooded hills and snowcapped peaks. The city displays a mixture of several architectural styles. Åkershus Fortress & Castle, transformed into a Renaissance palace in the 17th century, houses Norway’s Resistance Museum. Geiranger Nestled at the edge of the Geiranger Fjord, this charming town offers you the opportunity to observe amazing panoramic views from its famed mountain peak, Mount Dalsnibba. Lillehammer Site of the 1994 Winter Olympic games, Lillehammer is at the northern end of Hardanger Fjord Hardangerfjord is situated in the picturesque county of Hordaland and is the longest fjord in the world. Visitors can take a fjord cruise and see one of Europe's largest mountain plateaus, and one of the most impressive waterfalls in Norway, or go glacier walking on the Forgefonna Glacier. Other activities to do in the area include hiking, kayaking, and cycling. Explore the history of the local culture at the Hardanger Folk Museum, discover how juice and cider is produced at the Cider Factory, or visit the Renaissance garden at The Barony in Rosendal. Sognefjord Sogne Fjord is located in the western region of Norway, it is known to be the largest fjord in the country. There are plenty of waterfall sightings as well as you will be able to spot farms and villages around the mountain areas. This majestic destination has some one the best scenic views to offer, with its beautiful gigantic mountains and picturesque still blue waters surrounding it, you will sure to enjoy your time in the Fjord. |
